Villa Di Capovento

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful oasis. The hosts went above and beyond from early morning until late evening to ensure that every guest had a truly memorable holiday experience. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the housekeeping was impeccable. The swimming pool and outdoor areas are generously sized for a property with only six rooms, so there was always plenty of space to relax. The entire property is exceptionally well maintained, and everything was spotless throughout our stay. The hosts have an extensive knowledge of the local area and Italy in general, and they are always happy to share valuable tips and recommendations. Their warm hospitality, genuine enthusiasm, and wonderful sense of humor made our stay even more enjoyable. The food deserves special recognition. Breakfast was incredibly fresh and delicious, featuring local specialties and high-quality ingredients. The dinner menu changed every day and was nothing short of outstanding. Every dish showcased exceptional ingredients, expertly prepared by a talented chef who brought out the very best in each one. We simply can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and truly unforgettable holiday.

Our stay at Villa di Capovento was unbelievable! Our room was perfect, with a comfy bed and lovely decor. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room and Stella and Etore were wonderful hosts. We used the infinity pool, hammocks, and outdoor space every day. The breakfasts (included) were made to order with fresh fruit, juice, and eggs from their own chickens, homemade bread and cakes, and the dinners (not included but reasonable, delicious, and convenient) were top chef level by Chef Etore, especially the homemade pici! Don’t be turned off by the long dirt road to arrive there — it’s not that long and worth it to reach such quiet and beautiful scenery. There is also beautiful art throughout the home that was painted by Etore’s father. Stella was a dream to deal with! It’s just a quick drive to the towns of Castellina in Chianti and Radda in Chianti for lunch, dinner, or shopping. We would return in a heart beat and we recommend with enthusiasm!

This was our 2nd time in Villa di Capovento (2024 and 2025) and we had another fantastic stay. Again well received, good food, thanks to her husband Ettore. And the breakfast is exquisite, every day a surprise and everything you could wish for. Stella is an exquisite hostess, always in good spirits and ready to do anything for her clients. Highly recommended is their Limocello and you should definitely take home their super tasty olive oil. Bart and Wil Peverelli.
