Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely property. Pool area very relaxing. Terrace for the evening meals had great views and was very atmospheric. Honesty bar for the pool was a great idea. Half hour walk into town and train station.

Business stay in this beautiful structure in the Sienese hills. The common areas at the reception are beautiful, while the common areas on the floors need renovation with horrible carpeting and outdated fan coils. Very beautiful room with a lot of comfort. The pool is also beautiful with the adjacent park. Characteristic restaurant, with prices that are not too high but portions that, in my opinion, are too small. The breakfast room is nice where we return to a decent buffet; in my opinion, some typical cold cuts would be a good addition. Receptionist is quite naïve. I recommend it more for vacationers than for business travelers.

The hotel appears well-maintained, even though it has not seen a complete renovation in a long time. We received a room on the top floor under the roof, which did have air conditioning, but it was far too weak. In the room, it was therefore always far too hot, making restful sleep impossible. The furnishings of the room, especially the old carpet and the old bathroom, do not match the expectations of a 4-star hotel. After multiple complaints regarding the air conditioning, only excuses were given; not even a room change was possible. The breakfast was also very weak, the quality of the food leaves much to be desired (some products from discount stores are simply placed on the buffet, e.g., tea bags from Lidl). The pool area and garden are very nice; we liked that. Overall, for the very high price level, absolutely disappointing and not recommendable.
