Case Rosse

Absolutely Tuscan! Picturesque hamlets and villages with a medieval castle on hilltop 5 km away. Surrounded by vinyard and olive groves. Relatively easy to get to from anywhere in Italy. Car rental is recommended as car service or taxis is spotty.

We stayed here on christmas, 2007. We spent 185 per double room, but it wasn't worth it. The room was very cold, heating didn't work. Also, there was a horrible stench allover the hotel, because they had serious problems with their septic. Anyway the staff was quite nice and tried to make us comfortable by giving us some blankets. In order to fight the stench, we had to get very, very drunk, anyway it was december 31th and that wasn't definetively a problem ;-) I liked: quiet and very nice landscape I disliked: cold and stench
