Poggiacolle

We had a wonderful time and would have loved to stay much longer. The accommodation is in a dreamily quiet location and yet only a few minutes away from San Gimignano. The view is beautiful, the entire property is lovingly maintained, and everything was spotlessly clean. You feel welcome from the very first moment. A very special thank you goes to Daniela and Stefano. Both were incredibly warm, attentive, and always there for us. We celebrated our wedding here during our stay and could not have wished for a better place for it. All our wishes were taken into account and we were excellently supported at all times during the preparation and execution. This made our special day simply perfect. Thank you very much for this unforgettable time. We will definitely come back and can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation!

We had a fantastic stay at Agriturismo Poggiacolle. The place is incredibly beautiful, authentic and accurate, as we had dreamed of when imagining a vacation in Tuscany. The pool area is delicious and well-maintained, and it is a great advantage that each apartment has its own regular loungers. The apartment was really cozy and well equipped with both dishwasher and air conditioning. In addition, there was daily cleaning and towel replacement every three days, making the stay extra comfortable. Stefano was a fantastic host – incredibly sweet, welcoming and helpful. He even surprised our son with a birthday present, which made a big impression on us and showed a very special hospitality. If you dream of an authentic Tuscan holiday in beautiful and quiet surroundings, we can only give Agriturismo Poggiacolle our warmest recommendation. We would love to come back!

If you are looking for a true Tuscan farmhouse experience in a great location, this is it! We stayed for 4 nights, loved every minute of it, and were sad to have to leave. Located just over 2km from San Gimignano, it is a quick drive to town, or can even be walked, although it would be a bit challenging, as it is quite hilly. Beautiful views of San Gimignano from the property. Centrally located for day trips out to explore other areas of Tuscany. (Recommend seeing Volterra.). Daniela & Stefano are amazing hosts. Quick to respond to email enquiries and friendly, kind, and helpful in person. On check-in, Daniela gave us a ton of information and maps with ideas on where to go, what to see, and gave us great restaurant recommendations in town. (Chiribiri is a wonderful true family-run Tuscan restaurant located just inside the walls at San Gimignano. We highly recommend!) Our room (#2) was a corner room on the 2nd floor of the 1700s farmhouse, with fabulous views. Private, modern bathroom with shower, vaulted beamed ceiling, stone floors, rustic furniture. Comfortable bed. Immaculately clean everywhere. The room lies off a communal area with kitchen facilities, which is shared by other guests. The room and property are absolutely quiet. We heard no noise from other guests, nor traffic noise. The only thing you hear is the country silence of birds, occasional dogs barking far off, and distant farm equipment. (This is a working vineyard & olive grove and they produce their own wine. Delicious!). In the afternoons, we would sit in the lawn/garden area with our apertivo & glass of wine looking over to San Gimignano and simply relax. It was like a postcard. The buffet breakfast every morning in the large breakfast room was lovely with a small, but varied selection - something for everyone. The swimming pool had just opened for the season and wasn't yet heated, but we went for a "refreshing" dip anyway. Crystal clear and immaculately kept, with tables, lounges and umbrellas alongside. Absolute value for your money! We loved our time here and, if we are ever in Italy again, will absolutely stay here. Poggicolle was a definite highlight of our trip to Italy. Thank you, Daniela & Stefano, for everything! Karen & Wes, Canada
