SCLQ

I booked a room in this lovely looking hotel for October on July 23rd via Booking.com. I paid half the fee which was non-refundable, but I thought it was worth it as it looked really lovely. Almost a month later I got an email to say they cancelled my reservation. When I enquired with Booking.com they said it was due to an overbooking. It's concerning that if I was the last to book that it would take them almost a month to work out that the room wasn't available after all. I think it's more likely I had the booking secured and someone came later with e.g. a longer booking, and they decided to cancel mine even though it was confirmed and half paid. Be aware that if you book in advance with them your booking won't be secure, just book elsewhere.

First of all, thank you to the Management for your very warm welcome. It is a magnificent hotel, very well located, air-conditioned, spacious rooms with a very beautiful terrace and very good bedding. The decor of this hotel is magnificent. Breakfast is very hearty, varied, and served with a smile. The cleanliness of the rooms is remarkable. We spent an exceptional week with the beach right in front. Thanks to everyone

Hotel a stone's throw from the sea and the Viareggio promenade. Cordial and attentive reception. Good cleanliness. Breakfast is also good. All this while immersed in furnishings and environments from another era that are, to say the least, spectacular in their preservation and care. If one wants to be picky, the only downside is the street noise.... But believe me.... In a setting like this, it is nothing!
