We left for Assisi and, almost by chance, we stumbled upon this welcoming hotel, located in a truly unique position, with a spectacular view. Upon our arrival they recommended we dine at the Frantoio restaurant: it was an excellent recommendation! Professional and friendly staff, pleasant tasting of their oil, dishes prepared with great care and top-quality raw materials. Between the hospitality, the atmosphere, and the breathtaking panorama, it is an experience that is absolutely worth having. Highly recommended! If I had to give a small suggestion to further improve the experience, it would concern breakfast. I would recommend highlighting local products more, offering artisanal jams, local cured meats, and cheeses, to be in line with the quality of the restaurant. It would be a detail that would make the stay even more special.

We loved our stay at Fontebella. We grabbed a quick bite at the bistro upon arrival and headed out to see the tombs of some of our favorite saints. Our room was fifth floor and quite large. The bath was especially large for a Euro hotel. Breakfast was lovely with a wide variety. We would certainly return!
