A fantastic hotel just a few steps from the Basilica of Saint Francis, very clean, the Very kind staff, our room had a fantastic view of the valley. Excellent breakfast and we ate lunch at their adjacent restaurant, a fabulous torta al testo, the Lady at the inn was truly kind. Thanks for everything, we will definitely be back. We highly recommend it. Sabrina and Cinzia

Special thank you to Myra who was helpful, kind, and totally amazing during our stay. Super accommodating with our room, made wonderful recommendations for dinning (even called ahead to make our reservations). Thank you Myra for making our 30th wedding anniversary so special. Our stay here has been truly out of this world! Great hotel and wonderful people. Highly recommend this hotel. Can’t wait to come back again.

April 27, 2026 Mon My wife and I just returned from our Italy and Spain vacation. In Italy, we took a private transfer to our hotel Il Palazzo in Assisi where we stayed four nights from March 19 - March 22. We stayed in a Superior Double room, No. 303, clean and with a wonderful double view; the valley to the south and an incredible spectacular sunset view to the west. We found this to be a simple 3 star hotel but with an excellent location. Just a few steps from the Basilica, a beautiful breakfast setting offering a very good selection - but try to go early because it can get full easily, a very pleasant atmosphere, and wonderful recommendations from the front desk. There are a couple of other things.. The bathroom: We found it to be very small, I would dare to say is about 2 ½ by 3 ½ and last but not least, the value: too good to be true! We have visited Assisi three times and have always stayed in different hotels but the next time we visit Assisi, we will definitely come back to Il Palazzo.
