La Fortezza

Strategic location and beautiful structure just steps from the center. The beautiful Lavender room has a wonderful terrace. Excellent location and exceptional comfort. Absolutely recommend this place for a stay in Assisi. For breakfast served in the attic with a lovely terrace overlooking the city... many homemade cakes.

From the outside it is nice but, entering the small lobby where there is no staff and a sauna temperature, it is really disappointing! Very small room, without fridge, with radiators not adjustable, nor to be able to turn off. Bathroom even smaller so that sitting on the toilet you must rest your feet on the shower tray .. with curtain! One chair, one shower cap only, despite being asked being two people. Breakfast in the dining room outside the structure, near sure, but with umbrella if it rains. Even qualitatively bad... not even a slice of bread for 3 days, only wholemeal pancarrè and not even a toaster. Sweets for 4 equal days and were already there on the first day, already started. What about .. the good cleaning but the room was very little furnished .. and one day we even found a dirty towel on the ground in the bathroom Price-quality not adequate without saying that to access from pizza of the municipality there is a very long staircase

A hotel with many good things but sin for lack of information. Maybe if booked through Booking it will work better. Wonderful location and very nice structure but for the price it is very expensive according to some amenities and services. Position 10, very good beds, toilet and wifi very well. Great breakfast. Friendliness of the restaurant people very well. Which I didn't like. Warm shower water almost cold. To be a hotel I should have a little fridge that even the b&bs have today, I travel a lot in italy and it is the first time I do not touch a fridge, so the complimentary water was hot in the middle of summer. I think some hotel employees left a table outside and started talking hard at midnight and you could hear everything from my room, it was my turn to ask them to turn down the volume and then they left. The sounds of neighbouring rooms are heard. Difficulty checking in. When I arrived late at night, it had rained a little and the hotel entrance was flooded as if a flood had fallen. They have a problem and nobody did anything. My shoes got wet and so because there was nothing else to go in. Check in: Let’s start because they never sent an email, WhatsApp or SMS with the check in and check out information. It was hard to get in and it was my turn to call. The lady said not very kindly that she had called me and I did not answer her, the truth is that I answered once and she did not listen to me and the second one did not ring once. I didn't call back because I didn't know the number and I never figured it would be them. I booked directly with them and I regret it because when it is done with booking at least they send one the keys of income, schedule information etc. Instead here with a missed call they thought it was enough to take care of a guest.
