As soon as we arrived at the property, we noticed some dirt in the room, as well as being very small .. also given that we checked out for 6-15 in the morning they had promised a rich breakfast buffet which was not actually done .. remained fasted we left! bad experience!

We were booked for 5 nights at their camera suite , a room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful view. The day we were arriving September 11, 2016 we were informed that that Hotel Subasio had closed down. They put us in Hotel Priori which charged us the same rate €1150 for not the same kind of category. The a/c wasn't working & leaving the window meant getting no sleep either cuz of the noise from the road. Can't believe we paid that much for that room.

This hotel is in an excellent position at the end of the hotel looking over to the Basilica di San Francesco, where there is a balcony that you can sit on and watch the world go by. The rooms at the back of the hotel look over the beautiful countryside. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are small with no where to put your toiletrie bags. Our shower didn't hang up so we had to hold it whilst showering. I did tell reception but i don't think they knew what to do with the information. The hotel has been refurbished but it seems that they still have a few sagging problems. Breakfast was poor, very little choice and a lot of packet food. Staff were helpful, but lack experience and need training - plates are not cleared away. We had a drink outside on our first night and the glasses and bottle were still there the next morning. Poor selection of drinks - no brandy. Would go back with the hope that the staff have been trained.
