Borgo Cenaioli

terrible.. the serious problem is the daughter. unkept place not recommended, unsuitable rooms, too bad we expected something better. attracted by the price in the end disappointed not to return. they must adapt to modern times

We had decided to give ourselves two days of holiday in this relaxing farmhouse, but our choice, unfortunately, was not very successful.... Let's start by saying that car parking does not exist, or at least it gave me the impression of being somewhat improvised as it was a space located between the road and a cultivated field. The spaces inside the rooms are quite narrow and the furniture is dilapidated. The air conditioning, although it was indicated on the site through which I made the booking, as present in all the rooms, is instead a chimera. As soon as I tried to sit on the bed, almost all the slats of the base came out of their place, I lifted the mattress and realized that the latter had been mercifully repaired by placing a wooden board on it. In the meantime we had already noticed that the bathroom had not been cleaned properly as evidence of the presence of a previous guest was still found in the toilet.... I called the owner who promptly took action by changing my room. Inside the latter there was a bed worthy of the name, which however had two single mattresses instead of the double one, furthermore on one of the lateral edges the bed base had a sharp and very dangerous iron protrusion: you practically risked being left impaled every time you got in or out of bed. But the dangers don't end there: the ceiling is low, being an attic, and you constantly risk hitting your head, the floor shakes when you walk and the bricks lift, on the only power socket near the bed it had been I put a multiple adapter to be able to connect multiple devices, too bad that if you just tried to do this, they all disconnected. In the tiny bathroom the shower had no tray and caused flooding every time it was used, furthermore on one of the walls there were dangerous metal protrusions similar to hooks, I think due to a radiator that had been removed. In summary: dilapidated structure and furnishings, no type of comfort as the rooms have no air conditioning and the windows are not equipped with mosquito nets, you continually risk your safety for the reasons listed above. In the room I stayed in there was a trolley air conditioner, but it was very noisy and absolutely insufficient to cool the room, which was particularly hot as it was located under the roof. We practically couldn't sleep. Cleanliness also leaves a lot to be desired. I believe that for the (disproportionate) amount we spent we can find much better....

We have been visiting for several years and always enjoy delicious meals and friendly owner who shows enormous patience with our basic limited Italian. Delighted to taste "prickly pear fruit" which was offered by owner. Highly recommend !
