Hotel Aurora

In Florence we broke our stay in two parts. One in the city at the Aurora and second at a Vinyard. Both location were awesome Part -1 the Aurora hotel has great location just close to.the station and has a historic feel to the whole place. If you are hiring car be careful as many one way streets. I got ticket after reaching home for going into a wrong lane. It was fun in a way as it was my 1st and only ticket while driving internationally. The room was just as is shown in the pictures very clean and very comfortable. Once we had covered the city and seen the historical sights we decided to drive to Tuscany and spend the rest of our days staying inside a beautiful Castillo. The staff were so helpful and kind! And the value and location are unbeatable -- it's an affordable hotel right across the street from the train station, very close to Piazza Santa Maria Novella, and a short walk from the Duomo. It was the perfect home base in Florence. The walls are really thin - if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend earplugs. You can hear everything that's happening around you. The shower is also quite small, which is pretty standard in Italy. None of these are big problems, but it's worth being aware if a quiet room and bigger shower are important to you.

My wife booked the Deluxe which was spacious and clean with modern furnished toilet. The hotel is situated less than 200m away from either the Florence Train Station and Bus Station. The staffs are courteous and approachable to help and offered suggestions for day trips to regions around Florence such as Lucca, Siena & Pisa. However, housekeeping was less desired as toilet rolls were not replaced when used up and cups were not washed when used.
