Yes, this is a new-build hotel with nice, modern rooms clean rooms and a comfortable bed but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. A new building means very little if the basic things don’t work. It was extremely hot, still 30 degrees at 9pm, and I was on the fifth floor with no working air conditioning. I called reception four times and each time I was told, “You have the window open.” Yes, I had opened the window because I was struggling to breathe in a room with no functioning air conditioning. On the fifth call, I was moved to the room next door. Surprise, surprise the air conditioning didn’t work there either. What was particularly insulting was being repeatedly made to feel as though I didn’t understand how air conditioning works. I was exhausted from continually having to call reception and explain the same problem. In the end, I honestly would have been better off sleeping in reception where at least I might have found some cool air. The phone charging ports in the rooms also don’t work, they appear to be there purely for show. Then there’s the breakfast buffet. It looks impressive when you first walk in, but the quality of the food was extremely disappointing. Some items were overcooked, others undercooked, and for the first time in my life I actually had to take food out of my mouth. The bacon was practically blanched, pale, rubbery and nowhere near properly cooked. Bacon should be properly rendered, crisp and browned, with the fat cooked down rather than leaving you chewing on something resembling rubber. And the scrambled eggs? Hard, rubbery and completely overcooked. Scrambled eggs should be soft, moist and creamy not something you could practically bounce off the wall. You have a long way to go. The rooms may look nice, but a hotel is about far more than appearances. You need functioning air conditioning, working facilities and, most importantly, much better food quality at the breakfast buffet. For a new hotel, I expected much better. Instead, I left feeling extremely disappointed and after the way my birthday turned out, this hotel has completely lost my respect. I want half my money back.

excellent location for accessing the historic center of Perugia. very kind staff. spacious, quiet room. Cleanliness of the rooms. wonderful international breakfast buffet

Everything was perfect. The staff, the rooms, the breakfast, furniture, location (very easy to get to the Centre by automatic stairs). Perugia is perfect and it is near to the Assisi etc.
