Torre Almonte

Excellent Umbria location. Quiet and secluded. This is a renovated fort with entertaining/gathering locations on every level, and can be broken up into private floors. Bathrooms are well done and modern. Eclectic mix of furnishings to include modern IKEA and antiques. We experienced one minor problem with hot water which was quickly resolved. Unfortunately our week stay in May was right after heat was transitioned to air conditioning during an abnormal cold period resulting to some cold interior temperatures. Property management was welcoming and spoke English.

Amazing. Torre Almonte takes staying in a castle to a new level. Elevator, air conditioning, wifi, pool, beautiful gardens make it luxurious yet still an authentic castle. The views are mind blowing. Each day was a new, breath taking vista, sun, clouds, fog, rain. Quiet, countryside location with easy drives to Assisi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Deruta, Todi. I highly recommend a stay here for an unforgettable experience.

Let me start out by saying that I don't usually write reviews, but our experience at Torre Almonte was outstading. We came here for a few days and stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments in the tower, using it as a home-base to travel through Umbria. Torre Almonte is as wonderful (or better) than it looks in the pictures. The grounds, views, and pool are breathtaking. The apartment was large, lovely and comfortable, with a full kitchen. Breakfasts, made by Sandra, are copious and scrumptious. The fresh air and the aroma of the flowers are still with me. This is a beautiful place.
