Hotel de Paris

Large, modern, very clean room, A/C, TV, 1 large double bed, 1 single bed Very clean bathroom No refrigerator Hotelier's welcome very unfriendly, perhaps due to our late arrival time of 11:00 PM 😆 Insignificant breakfast, have it outside. Parking space easy to find on the street.

Interesting hotel certainly for its location, 200 m from the Terni station and 500 m from the main squares and the main street of the historic center. Interesting hotel for the price, even if compared to calling the hotel directly, we managed to find interesting ones on the various platforms. The structure is old, with carpeting that traps dirt. The first floor has some new renovation elements, including marble. In the room, with excessive heat around 35/40 degrees, the essential element could not be missing and it was indeed the air conditioning. TV working. On Saturday, however, after the first day and the first night spent, they did not change our sheets, nor, above all, our face, guest, and shower towels, which, as one can foresee, were already wet and damp from the various showers necessary due to the heat. I was the one who asked directly, on Sunday morning, that they at least change our towels and give us some bath products, even leaving aside the change of sheets and deep cleaning, since we were not in the room much anyway. At the reception, they replied that the cleaning staff had avoided entering the room on Saturday morning because we had left the "do not disturb" sign, which we did not even have in the room. On Sunday, they did change our sheets, towels, and provided bath products, and I think they also cleaned the carpeting and emptied the trash cans. A very painful aspect, even if still present, is the breakfast compared to other hotels we have also frequented lately. Purchased packaged food and/or low quality and little choice. Restaurant attached to the hotel, coincidentally, not working for some time, long??? I recommend an improvement to the breakfast and perhaps the addition of a fridge in the room, renovating the environments both because they are old, I am not talking about the antique-style furniture, but really the walls, exteriors, carpeting etc., and because they are decaying.

I chose the hotel because of its location almost next to the station (ca. 100m). The hotel had its best times about 20 years ago and looks quite worn. The carpet is full of stains, a lot of things need repair (shower heads, windows blinds and small applications around the entire building). The decoration and furniture is oldfashioned, dark and a bit battered. Lighting is very dim: there are a lot of lamps but with little light. The fridge had been removed from the room. The bathroom was convenient but its hairdryer was of the “oldfashioned hotel type” with barely enough power to dry hair, especially long hair. In the corridors the wallpaper was coming offthe wall. Breakfast was okay with a coffee machine that prepared coffee by choice but not in a good quality. No fruit, nothing fresh but heavy on sweet pastries. The interior of the breakfast room had seen better times. Wifi didn’t work in my room, only in the public areas. Before arriving I received an automated mail from the hotel informing about its restaurant (not existing/closed!!) and other services that never materialised. The receptionist didn’t even know about this mail. The hotel is in need for a proper renovation. The reception staff was friendly and multilingual.
