Spacious rooms in a cozy hotel with warm atmosphere. Spaces also outside. Good value for money. Very friendly staff

Hotel Della Fonte, a nice hotel. The nicest host Paolo picked us up from the train station near Greccio. We got a nice big hotel room overlooking the square. On the square there is a fountain and there is a tap where you can tap drinking water for your bottle. Also walk into the church opposite the hotel to light a candle. The wifi in the lobby is good, and in the room reasonable. Paolo advised us to go to the restaurant "Il Nido del Corvo" for dinner, here we got a real Italian dinner with anti-pasti, pasta, meat dish and dolce toe. Great food on our first holiday night. In the morning at the hotel there was a simple Italian breakfast buffet with croissants and cakes and then we could start satisfied with the first walk. We had booked an 8 day walking tour. For the road we got lunch, sandwiches, fruit and snack. After a 5 hour walk, we came back and had a delicious aperitif on the terrace with tasty snacks. Very well looked after. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel and the next day we walked to the next hotel ourselves and Paolo brought our suitcases. Very satisfied with this hotel, everything was well cared for and clean.

Good reviews have a reason for being. The rooms are clean and elegant and the location is definitely strategic for Christmas markets and to visit the Nativity Museum and the Monastery of St. Francis. An appreciation goes for sure to the gentlemen who welcomed us with kindness and sympathy....Thanks
