Il Poggiolo

Three of us stayed six nights at this wonderful place. The property is beautifully maintained and has a brilliant outlook over the Umbrian countryside. Only 10 km from the motorway exit (Fabro), but absolutely peaceful and relaxing. We shared the two bedroom two bathroom ‘Parsifal’ apartment which was well appointed, spacious, and a had a lovely private terrace. What made this place most special, however, were the wonderful hosts, Antonia and Rafaela. They cooked excellent food every night, always something different and always four courses. The wine list was also very good. The breakfast equally exceeded our expectations. Delicious home baking, home-made jams, yoghurt, cereal, fresh juice and even bacon and scrambled egg were offered. All the garden furniture, including the loungers by the pool, is of very good quality. The wifi worked very well in the bedrooms and Rafaela and Antonia were quick to turn on the heating when we had one unseasonably chilly night. All of us have stayed in many different places around the world, but we would all recommend this little gem. Grazie!

Beautiful view and pool, but worn pool chairs . Nice private place which we rented only for us, but one day 10 strange people came and populate the pool - no one asked us. Quiet rooms, but no AC. Lots of room, but 1 room - which was promised - was missing. Big TV, but it doesn`t work. Wifi, but it wont work. Kitchen, but no frying pan.
