Hotel Gardenia & Villa Charme

The Gardenia is a small hotel just by the side of Lake Garda and a gentle 20 min stroll by the lakeside into Bardolino. Our room was very comfortable with quite enough storage, good air con and a lovely view of the lake from our terrace. It’s spotlessly clean everywhere. Two swimming pools kept us cool and were never crowded. There are 2 good restaurants nearby as well as bar snacks in the hotel. However, it’s the staff who make this a great place to stay - the lovely ladies in Reception (and the chaps too), the breakfast and housekeeping teams all work so hard to ensure a wonderful stay. This may have been our first visit but it was clear there are many returning guests.

We loved our stay at this hotel. All the staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. There was plenty of selection for breakfast and the rooms were spotless. It was great to lie by the pool after a day of sightseeing and you could also order drinks scanning a QR code. The bus stop is just across the road and whilst it is about 15 minutes walk to the centre of Bardolino it was a lovely walk along the lake. We would recommend and stay again.

On arrival we were greeted at reception by Marta who was very friendly & helpful. The hotel is very pretty from the outside and spotless inside. Breakfast was sufficient with the dishes being replenished regularly. Our room was very nice and spacious and looked onto the pool. Every morning by the time we returned from breakfast our room had been cleaned. The location is ideal for nice walks into Bardolino and Garda to the right and Cisano and Lazise to the left. We would definitely return.
