Donna Silvia Hotel

I write this review regretfully because the staff was so helpful and friendly! However, I think it is fair to those who are looking for a nice hotel on Lake Garda Manerba to give my experience. The location and the spa are perfect. It's the rooms. Very spacious but the decor, the linens and the furniture are outdated and are of a 3-star hotel. Just barely. The sheets and towels are the quality of a hostel. I paid 170€ a night for a 4-star hotel- it qualifies as a 4-star because they have a pool and spa. The outdoor areas need some work, very outdated. I work in tourism so I understand the standards of hotels. The breakfast reviews were very good but again, a hostel has that quality of breakfast. It's very unfortunate. I was actually happy to go home. Not a good sign.

The check-in unfortunately seemed a bit disorganized; however, the staff was always friendly and helpful during the process. There were also delays at check-out, as there was temporarily no internet available at the reception – nevertheless, the staff remained friendly and attentive. The breakfast was simple, but overall good. However, I would have liked a larger selection of fresh, sliced fruit. The dinner, on the other hand, was very convincing – especially the pizza was very delicious. It is also worth mentioning the very quick and friendly service in the restaurant. A major downside was the very poor internet in the room, which limited the stay somewhat. The location of the hotel is fine, especially if you enjoy going to the lake. The beach is clean, quiet, and about a 5-minute walk away – ideal for relaxing. However, the village itself does not offer much. For more activities or excursions, one relies on a car to travel to other cities. The rooms are already somewhat dated, and especially the bathroom could use a renovation. However, the cleanliness and the nice balcony are positive highlights. Overall, a solid stay with some weaknesses, but also clear positive aspects.

Very good hotel, great service, great breakfast and the associated restaurant is great.
