Eurocongressi Hotel

We have booked no. 2 rooms in the last WE of November 2025. A few days before, due to personal issues, we contacted the property requesting the possible cancellation of the reservation (free of charge or paying the usual penalty). They tell us that they would have immediately taken charge of our request, without releasing any shred of evidence of the conversation that took place (it is a structure - they say - managed externally by Swadeshi S.p.A., which, however, never responds to requests that are addressed by users / customers). Since we have not received any reply, we decide to leave the day after the booking made (at least to take advantage of 1 of the two days and not lose all that has already been paid). Obviously the night before we notify the structure of this, which tells me that our rooms were put on the “list” (because we did not arrive on the day of booking”) and therefore were no longer available!! Despite having already been paid, in short, they sold them to other customers!! This is also proven by documented conversations!!! And this is confirmed upon our arrival: we stayed out until 3 pm because they had to prepare other rooms to assign us. At the reception (and by phone) an alleged director of the structure presented himself (since the boys present did not know / could say anything) who: at first did not give his real details saying to be called "Mario Rossi" with making assumption; then declares that the structure takes only a minimum percentage of the reservation, while the rest is turned entirely to Booking and to ask them for a refund; adds that the invoice, if you book on Booking, is issued by the latter because they manage the flow of money and the collection (which is not true because I have invoices issued directly by the structure). Pressed, he closes rudely calling me “Bleep”. In addition to this, even the one-night stay was a nightmare: run-down structure, decaying rooms (in the middle of the night you could not turn off the light of the room because it remained fixed and "the night attendant" - in our opinion a gentleman put there at random for that night - took out all the electricity in the room to solve the problem), in addition to breakfast that exceptionally has nothing at all. In all this, booking has not solved the problem except by offering us a compensation of as much as € 14 out of over 250 paid: ridiculous! Be careful!!!

Far away from everywhere, staff very unhelpful and no services were available at the hotel including the bar and restaurant which were advertised. Rooms were bare with no working fridge and flickering lights.

Really disappointed with my stay at the Eurocongressi Hotel near Lake Garda. It’s advertised as 4-star, but honestly it felt more like a 2-star at best. Our room was dirty with a ripped carpet, marks on the walls, and a broken door handle. The shower barely worked, the air con didn’t work at all, and the mattress was rock solid. One of the lifts was out of order and there were no warning signs. Staff were rude and unhelpful when we needed help with transport, and even tried to charge us €25 for a taxi we never took. When checking in, I had to sign a document in Italian that no one would explain to me — not great service at all. The only positive was the kitchen staff, who were kind and helpful with allergy questions. Apart from that, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Definitely not worth what we paid.
