Grand Hotel Riva

Rude and miserable staff! Rude owner! Souless hotel, souless room, lousy air con which broke down on our final night. The beds are rock hard and we did not get a decent night's sleep.Breakfast......forget it! Downright awful. Definitely not worth the money which is a shame considering its great central Lake Garda (north) position. We went for our honeymoon and couldn't wait to get home for a decent night's sleep. Fantastic location near lake,panoramic views from rooftop terrace breakfast was continental with good choice of food . Ate downstairs in evening good fresh hot food served Monica the waitress extremely pleasant and ensured we were catered for Marco on reception was very patient and answered our requests to best of his knowledge room clean and adequate for our needs would recommend staying at this hotel.

Not a 4 star hotel basic food for breakfast and evening meal couldn’t eat most of it room service knocking at 8 am or not cleaned at all shower pressure was low some staff very hostile especially on the front desk expected more for the price we paid rooms small too on top of each other very disappointing no wardrobe space either lived out of the suitcase no coffee or milk for drink we had a kettle so we bought our own the best bit for our stay here were the fantastic view from the balcony the pool were a joke too it’s not a pool it’s a paddling area ok for children with parents I class this hotel a 2 star only because it’s located in the centre I would not recommend this hotel
