Excellent breakfast, lots of options. Good bed to sleep in, enough pillows. Really good location close to everything, yet still a very quiet area. Good transport connections. Nice rooftop pool. Friendly and accommodating staff. The bathroom was a bit run-down.

Thank you to Marta and everyone at the Alfieri Hotel for a wonderful stay there in May. We really enjoyed our break in the Alfieri - the breakfast is great with lots of choice, the rooms are clean with good blinds and curtains, the beds comfortable, the air con efficient, the rooftop pool is lovely, and the public areas of the hotel are homely, welcoming and show great attention to detail. Board games are available for guests, who can also borrow a selection of books in a variety of languages. The breakfast room is bright and spacious with an adjacent outdoor eating area in the garden. It’s about a five-minute walk to catch the shuttle bus into Sirmione, (there’s also another local bus service you can use), local shops and restaurants are even closer, while a three-minute walk in the opposite direction brings you to the very scenic shores of Lake Garda. If you feel energetic, you can walk by the lake to the old town of Sirmione in about 50 minutes, while it's about 15 minutes by bus (it takes longer at the weekend as the roads are busier) Everyone in the Alfieri was very friendly and helpful with a special mention to the Reception staff who advised us on local transport, ferries, car hire and organised our parking in Venice. Thank you all for a lovely holiday, we hope to return again.
