Lido International

Hotel in an excellent location, a few steps from the center. Property with a pool and a quiet private beach. Every day they provide a towel to use on the sun loungers. Varied and good breakfast. Kind staff. Unfortunately, I must point out some negative points: the property should be kept a bit better; being a 4-star hotel, I expected impeccable cleanliness, but unfortunately, it is very superficial; on the room's small terrace, there were cobwebs on the table and railings, and dead flowers. Same for the sun loungers on the beach, very dirty and full of cobwebs. Furthermore, it really bothered me that, with the World Cup going on, in the evening there was the TV on in the bar (which should have closed at 11:00 PM) and chaos from the fans until 1:30 AM... It would take very little to make everything better.

Location right on the lake and flat walk into town We arrived by train and you need a taxi in the heat with suitcases as it is a fair walk down hill to the hotel. Taxis are not in large no's so prepare for a wait. Lovely room, no lift however directly to room floor but the staff helped . A balcony is a must otherwise you look out at a main road . Our view was lovely and cool . It was 32 degrees when we were there. The Lake was ok for swimming the first day but the heat caused the algae to "bloom". The pool is quite small but ok however it is a steep step down into the pool and I really struggled . One handrail would make an enormous difference for those with mobility issues. I chose this hotel because it had a pool with steps rather than a ladder which ís unsuitable for me so was disappointed to find I needed significant help to get into and out of the pool. Plenty of loungers for guests when we were there but day guests come and use the bar. We were there when it wasn't busy. The breakfast buffet is good . Lunches can be ordered from the bar area but food service stops at 3 pm . However 2 restaurants are very near. We particularly liked the Japanese Zen restaurant, very clean modern and freshly prepared food . Good value too. The Terrace was ok but food wasn't anything special and compared to the Zen the terrace seemed less clean but it is obviously popular. We enjoyed our stay at The Lido and the staff go the extra mile, particularly the lady at reception.

The Hotel is very well located and the balcony we had from 2nd floor looking at Lake Garda was amazing. The roller shutters on the balcony patio doors made the room quiet and completely blacked out the room. Bedroom was clean but I would say looking dated and needs attention to improve its quality. The pool would have benefited from a clean out. No pool man seen. (Debris at the bottom) Gardener was busy making the lawns look good. Overall 3star Hotel could be a great place with some investment.
