Hotel Royal & Suite

An absolute horror stay—be very careful! Unfortunately, this hotel was an absolute horror stay for us. We really cannot understand how anyone can even offer guests accommodation in such a condition. The entire hotel seems completely outdated, unkempt, and neglected. There are spiderwebs everywhere, and on top of that, there is a consistently unpleasant smell of food. In addition, there is extreme noise pollution, which makes it hard to even think about sleeping. Outside the hotel, people are apparently partying until late at night or sometimes continuously, and the volume is so high that you can hardly get any rest in your room. Getting a restful night's sleep was out of the question for us. The condition of the bathroom was particularly bad: Feces or toilet residue were on the floor, and the toilet was heavily soiled. A hygienic condition that is absolutely unacceptable to us. There were also significant defects in the room itself: The air conditioning was broken, the bed was completely worn out, the pillows smelled unpleasant, and the room door was damaged or broken. The only positive point was the employee at the front desk. He was friendly and helpful. We owe him our express thanks personally—at the same time, we honestly feel sorry for him having to work in such an establishment. We felt extremely uncomfortable during our entire stay and could hardly wait to leave this accommodation. We have never experienced such a combination of poor hygiene, poor structural condition, extreme noise, and lack of comfort during a hotel stay before. We absolutely cannot understand how an accommodation in this condition can continue to be offered to guests. Great caution with this accommodation! We expressly advise against booking this hotel.

Recommended only for an overnight stay because the rooms, albeit with dated furniture, are clean and comfortable, and at most for breakfast. We also opted for dinner at the second seating but we were often left with a very sparse buffet, it's a shame that we paid the same amount as those who went to the first seating; I don't want to say anything about the service and cleanliness. There is a room for reading and playing billiards (for a fee), it is a service that we always appreciate in hotels but here there is a lot of work to be done on it. It could be a property with great potential having a nice pool and an excellent location a few steps from the center but it needs a boost of energy.

For the 4th time for 2 weeks spent in this hotel. Just like the previous times, everything was there to your liking. The rooms cleaned daily by a friendly lady. Is it luxury, no, but we prefer a hotel where we feel welcome and where we can be ourselves. The breakfast and dinner was as always very good. Staff are there as family, so friendly and if you have been there they come immediately to say hello on arrival. Also have listening ear if you ask anything to adjust. Spent another super nice holiday and met nice people again. Next year we will definitely be back.
