Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Jesolo

Anyone accustomed to international 5-star standards will be disappointed here. For us, the overall package unfortunately does not match the price and the hotel's claims. Positive: Free bicycle rental, great proximity to the beach including beach service, and a large spa area with a hammam. The spa could, however, be cleaner and cleaned more frequently. Room & Service: Our room was definitely not a 5-star standard: Cobwebs, hair from previous guests on the curtains, and a broken blackout curtain that let light in constantly. The staff seemed untrained at times. The check-in was chaotic. We would absolutely not recommend early check-in: Despite paying an extra fee, we waited 45 minutes for the room, our son's bed was not made, and we had to wait a full 2 hours for our suitcases. Food: Beautifully arranged buffet, but almost the same thing every day. Fish and meat were often tough or overcooked for us. During our 5-night stay, no main course really convinced us. Sometimes dishes from dinner were offered again the next morning. Families: The hotel is neither a children's hotel nor adults-only – this is exactly where the problem lies for us. At breakfast and dinner, there is no entertainment for children, no playground, and no way to keep them meaningfully occupied during the meal. Parents are under pressure because of this, and couples quickly feel disturbed. Accordingly, one unfortunately sees many children with a cell phone or tablet at the table. The Falky Land has impractical opening hours for us, and announced program items were sometimes not kept. No face painting, pool activities did not always take place. We would like to explicitly praise Emely: She took very good care of our son and really tried her best with the few options available. Our criticism is therefore not of her, but of the lack of offerings and options. The prices are also quite high: Limoncello Spritz €10, Pizza Margherita €18. The underground garage costs €15 per day and there is practically no alternative. Larger beach loungers cost €50 extra per day. The departure was then the grand finale: We had already paid the day before to avoid the long line at the reception. Before breakfast, we handed in the cards and asked for the car and suitcases to be brought around. We were assured that both would be ready. Arrived at the car: no suitcases. So we had to wait again – and despite our clearly expressed anger, there was no real apology. Conclusion: Location and some facilities are good, but service, rooms, food, and organization do not meet the expected 5-star standard for us. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this Falkensteiner.

Many thanks for the personal and excellent care, especially from Mr. Vito Alesi. His exceptionally high and continuous presence throughout the entire hotel area is clearly noticeable and is directly reflected in the quality of the establishment. The personal attention, the consistent monitoring of processes, and his visible commitment contribute significantly to the high service and quality level of the hotel.

First of all: The staff is very friendly and tries hard, but is not very attentive. However, the biggest drawback for us is clearly the food. We are currently still at the hotel and had the 4th. evening in a row almost the same appetizer buffet. There are only small variations and sometimes you find the cold dishes from the previous evening at breakfast. What is supposed to be warm is sometimes only lukewarm or even cold. Pasta & pizza stations are good; the main courses served, however, are very disappointing. For example: Mixed grill plate > Angus beef completely overcooked; on another day, fish was partly rubbery and flavor-wise simply not what one expects from a 5-star hotel. The atmosphere at dinner also resembles a cafeteria more than a 5-star hotel restaurant. We addressed the whole thing at the reception, where we were immediately offered to cancel the half-board, without really asking what exactly was wrong. This immediately gave us the feeling: The problem is known! and… we have already been to several 4- and 5-star hotels and therefore know how it can & should be. In addition: - Room cleaning: not quite on top. Grout in the shower is partly clearly dark/discolored. Faucets cleaned half-heartedly; maid forgot her key card in the room (could have probably gotten into any other room with it) - Lunch/pool menu from Puro Restaurant overpriced, e.g., "Pizza Reggina" €22, Caesar Salad €22 (with shrimp even €34) - we find an extra €15 parking fee per night excessively high given the room rates In summary: Unfortunately, not at all the 5-star vacation we had hoped for here.
