Heron

Hotel is situated close to main Heron hotel where was reception and we also went there for breakfast. Main Heron hotel is on the beach. There were also reception test on Max hotel but only with labels in italien and maybe german that reception is in Heron hotel. Room was clean but furnature were no the newest. What I was really nervous were door to balcony. I would not call them safe since there were only locked to 2 metal rings where one on the bottom was missing. Balcony was not clean and table and floor were dirty. We asked cleaning ladies to clean it but they only sweeped only and not with water. We did it alone at the end. Also we have refrigiator broken and they changed it in one day. Towels were changed almost every second day sometimes every day. Bavarian bar with live music around the corner on the main street and container for glass under window made lots of noise. Every day at 7:20 they cleaned dustbins so for sure we were not able to miss breakfast :). What I see very positive is beach and service for free (ambrela and deckchairs). Also even we were not in main Heron hotel we were allowed to use swimming pool there which was "on the beach". Also showeres next to pool were closeer than public one. Also I saw cleaning ladies to clean rails on the balcony so main hotel might be better choice but also was more expensive. We had only breakfast ordered and after 4 days I did not know what to choose since it was all the time the same.

We went to a low budget holiday with our two children. We booked into Mini Heron, but it was closed, so they moved us to Maxi Heron. Parking is a problem, but they really try to solve it, but I was afraid to move my car... anyway, Venice is so close, you can reach it by ships as well... by the way, we were just sleeping in Maxi Heron, all other things (reception, restaurant) was in Heron (just across the road). The food (dinner) was lovely, delicious and big portions (only till 8:30! Ending quite soon), even the kids got adult portions. One evening they just forgot to bring us the main course, and when I asked the waiter, he told me with very broken English, that if I have any complains, I have to go to the reception. They were wondering too, why does it belong to them, but in the end, the manager offered us food from the bar, becouse meantime the kitchen closed. The room was OK, not the best I've ever seen, a bit small for 4people, the furniture was old fashioned. The room service was quite poor, the maid even didn't show up on the last day... maybe she was expecting money, I don't know, but even on the first days, she maid the beds, refilled the shower gels, but she didn't clean up the floor... in other days she didn't filled up the shower gels and toilet paper at all... The hotel had a separate pool as well, nothing special, but we didn't care, we were swimming in the sea :-) the beach was very close to the hotel as well. My kids loved it!

The sea, the beach, location are really nice. But at first they gave us a small room full of rust... After several visits to the reception they agreed to move us to a better room. It was really better - but we did a really crazy thing: we put all our money in the room safe (the key had been given at the reception when I reminded them). And it was stolen. That's all. No comments.
