From the moment we arrived, unfortunately, the property did not make a good impression on us. As soon as we arrived, we witnessed a situation that left us quite perplexed: the person we assume was the owner was telling the girl at the reception, probably her daughter, to make a person who was calling to ask for help finding a place at the facility hang up the phone. The reason, as far as we understood, was that we had to make the payment and therefore the phone call had to be interrupted.
The girl, evidently, had not understood or had not communicated to the customer what the owner requested. At that point, the owner took the phone directly and, with a tone that we found very rude, told the person on the other end that they would call them back later because they had an emergency. Frankly, given the way the situation was handled, it seemed almost ironic to speak of an “emergency,” especially considering that we had just arrived and were checking in. It certainly was not a good first impression and it gave us a feeling of unprofessionalism and lack of attention toward customers right from the start.
Subsequently, we were given the room keys and we encountered several problems. First of all, the whirlpool was not usable and was in truly terrible condition.
Entering the room, we found hair on the bed and the sheets were not that clean, impeccable white that one would expect in an accommodation facility. Furthermore, to the touch, they gave the feeling of not having been washed properly.
The bathroom also left us very disappointed. There were two of us, but we found only one large towel, which was also completely frayed. The shower had a wall that was clearly broken in half: on one side it had been repaired with adhesive tape, while on the other it had been left directly open. This situation evidently favored the formation of mold. The shower grout was also very dirty and showed clear signs of poor maintenance.
Another rather serious problem concerned the hair dryer: when we went to use it, we noticed that the buttons were detached and the underlying circuit board was even visible. The hair dryer, in fact, did not work and was in a condition that, in our opinion, could also represent a safety issue.
Breakfast was also a disappointment. The coffee machines did not even allow for making a cappuccino. Furthermore, the savory buffet was extremely poor and lacked variety: there was only ham, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs.
Overall, we certainly expected a decidedly better level of cleanliness, maintenance, and service. The numerous problems encountered, both in the room and in the common areas, left us with a strongly negative impression. We believe there is much to improve, especially regarding cleanliness, maintenance of the facilities, and, no less important, the way of interacting with guests.
In conclusion, having paid 80 euros for one night (madness for the conditions), it is worth trying something else.
