A friendly welcome by the receptionist Hotel is in the perfect location in Sirmione In the old part of town and a few minutes walk from the ferry port and ticket office. It sits on the water and you can enjoy breakfast , drinks, dinner etc on the veranda that is on the water. Watch out for the mosquitos and flies though ! Breakfast was good with juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, eggs, meats, salmon, croissants and cake You can swim in the lake from the veranda however this does mean everyone in the restaurant can see you in your swim wear as you walk to the steps which I felt was a bit off putting. It would be better if there was steps to one side of the platform so it was more discreet. We stayed for 4 nights and spent a day exploring Sirmione , the castle, Jamaica beach and all the lovely streets. So many lovely restaurants to eat at too. We particularly enjoyed ……. Sirmione is at one end of the lake but it is doable to get to the north if you take the fast ferry. We managed Malcesine cable car and Limone in 1 day. We also visited Bardolino where we went to Zeni winery (amazing - free wine tasting and you can upgrade and pay for more too ) We had travelled from uk to Verona (spent 1 day and night there ) before getting a train and but to Garda - very easy We then travelled on to Genoa which took 4 hours by train and extended our holiday further. Thankyou Flaminia for helping to make our Italian trip such a memorable one.

Tired to the point of exhaustion. Reception staff were really helpful Room was dingy, shower tray cracked stai so at top of wall dingy orange curtain separating room from shower room. Expected a clean bright modern room looking at website, nothing further from the reality. We tried to have drinks out on the deck but on two out of three occasions no drinks arrived. Average breakfast Dirty carpets in communal areas. Terrible value.

This hotel is located in the historic part of Sirmione. It is recommended. Large and beautiful room, with a bathroom, plus a bathtub in the room. View of the lake. Very good bedding and very good equipment. Vast common areas, decorated with care. And, above all, a very beautiful terrace, overlooking the lake. Having a drink there at sunset is a real pleasure. Breakfast is remarkable for its selection and the quality of the products. Charming welcome. Parking must be reserved in advance with the hotel (outside the historic center). A shuttle, organized by all the hotels, takes you to the foot of the hotel. Very good value for money.
