B&B Colonna Gotica

This apartment is a wonderful place to stay. We have visited Venice 7 times, staying here for the last 2 trips. This apartment is our favorite place to stay in Venice. Located on a quiet campo, this apartment provides a rare chance to experience Venice away from the tourists and still be close to great restaurants, the great cultural sites and vaporettos. The charming, clean apartment has 2 levels. The kitchen on the first floor has a big table that is a great place to sit and enjoy breakfast. The upstairs bedroom is quiet and comfortable. The hosts, Michael and Maurizia, are amazing hosts. They were terrific under the most difficult circumstances. We stayed here during the historic floods on November 12,2019. The flood waters came up while we were at dinner. We walked back thru the flooded streets, arriving here at 11:30 pm. The lights and heat were on, the apartment was dry and Michael and Maurizia dropped by to make sure we were ok and give us advice on how to avoid future flooding. We will come back to this apartment the next time we are in Venice

From the moment Roberto met us at the vaporetto stop, I knew we'd found the perfect spot to stay. Slightly off the beaten track but ideal if you want to sense what it is like to really live in Venice. Maurizia and Roberto's apartment is well-equipped, comfortable, spotless and charming - it's in a converted monastery and full of history. Our hosts couldn't have been more helpful, offering advice which was always accurate and making us feel truly welcome. I'm definitely going back! We found it on Air bnb and it's very good value, even if you were travelling solo.

We found this apt. on Air BnB and the owners were very warm and helpful, and the the location fabulous: just a few minutes walk from one water bus stop (vaporetto) and a little longer to another stop. The rooms were small-ish and a bit dark, but very clean and tastefully done. The owners left some little snack food and basic breakfast items for us in the fridge which was really sweet. It was perfect for our family: couple + 3 kids.
