This hotel was amazing, and the staff were fantastic. My partner and I had been staying at another hotel nearby, but I'd accidentally booked the wrong dates and we were short one night. So we ended up booking somewhere last minute, and we were already having a rough day, having to pack everything up and move. The moment we arrived, though, everything turned around. The staff were incredibly helpful, and even though our room wasn't ready yet (we'd booked and shown up barely five minutes later!), they upgraded us to another room so we could head up, take a shower, and reset after all the chaos. The room was gorgeous, and the bathtub was exactly what I needed to relax after such a stressful day. Honestly, the rooms look even better in person than in the photos. A special thank you to the reception staff, who went above and beyond to make our last day in Venice so special. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

3-day stay as a couple in Venice. We recommend this hotel 100%. Very well located in a small quiet square, very close to the Rialto district and a 10-minute walk from St. Mark's Square. Our room 626 on the first floor was very comfortable, very clean, and very well equipped (toiletries, soft towels in sufficient quantity, small fridge with some paid cold drinks). Quality bedding and typically Venetian decor, which is what we were looking for. The breakfast was very plentiful, varied, and the staff was very pleasant. Luggage storage was offered. The welcome from the reception staff was twofold: on one hand, a very pleasant welcome in the morning from the woman with short hair who speaks French very well (which is very convenient), and on the other hand, a very unpleasant (even cold) welcome in the afternoon from the man with dark hair.

My husband grew up in the neighborhood so we have been staying at Hotel Santa Marina for many years. We got a suite this time and my son and his wife stayed in a junior suite. We always go back because it’s a comfortable, old world Venetian hotel. Staff are helpful. Feels like home.
