Hotel Casa Verardo Residenza D'Epoca

This hotel is a gem! What an amazing stay we had at Casa Verardo! We stayed in the family suite which was spacious for four - so clean and comfortable. The room was beautiful with high ceilings and a chandelier. The buffet breakfast was extensive including many hot and cold options and could be eaten in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the canal. They also had gluten free options which we required. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful - organizing our water taxis and making dinner reservations. We highly recommend staying at Casa Verardo - you won't be disappointed!

Lovely hotel really close to the sights and the vapporetto but just far enough away to be quiet at night. Located right next to a picturesque canal and bridge. The front desk is really friendly and helpful. We stayed in the junior suite with the canal view and it was a good sized, well decorated gracious room with a lovely view down a small canal. Breakfast was solid and you can even eat outside on a little terrace. I want to praise the amazing air conditioning for a July heat wave--every other hotel we had in Italy besides this one seemed to struggle keeping it cool with the temperature in the high 90s outside, but Casa Verado's A/C was powerful and quiet. It was a relief to come back to a properly cool room with the sweltering Venice humidity outside. Great value for what you get in Venice--do not hesitate to book here!

Casa Verardo is a quiet jewel in the neighborhood of Castello very close to San Marco. A gracious Venetian residenza from back in time enclosing quiet courtyards and offering rooms and public areas draped in immaculate antiquity. A staff so accommodating that they not only set up a water taxi to transport us from S.Lucia train station but also met us (in their suits!) at the canal to welcome us with big smiles and assistance with luggage. We enjoyed roaming the neighborhood where we found many shops and restaurants away from the prices in San Marco. We could always rely on the front desk staff for great restaurant recommendations and reservations. The staff arranged gondola rides, transportation by water taxi to Piazzale Roma then a private car to the port of Ravenna 2 hours away. Our family group of 8 were all impressed with our very private and quiet 4 rooms in different areas of the hotel, all with different views annd balconies. All immaculate. The well attended breakfast room with its own outside area is bright with sun shining through tall windows into a room set with tables draped in linens surrounded by softly padded chairs. The selection of free breakfast items is fresh and plentiful. From chilled juices and sliced fruits, to freshly brewed pots of delicious coffee, assortment of cereals, yogurt, cheeses, sliced meats, eggs, sausage, bacon, croissants, muffins, breads, pastries, cakes , butter, jams and jellies. Heartfelt thanks to Alessandro, Stefano, Gholan, Federico, Ilaria, Mike and the entire staff for being a very big part of this wonderful family memory.
