Locanda de la Spada

I have been trying to rebook this hotel also since Covid lock down. We booked through Hotels.com received a voucher to rebook at the same hotel which we have been trying to do since boarders opened. I have spent many hours emailing and on the phone to Hotel.com and trying to contact the hotel direct with no response. Hotels.com website stated for months that Locanda de la Spade is temporarily closed so how can you book a room if it’s closed. Very disappointing experience. This holiday planned was a once in life time holiday which we had saved for many years. We are going to Venice in July hopefully we can go to the hotel personally and ask for an explanation for the owner.

Absolutely the epitome of hotel without scruples. They do not reply to emails, and currently sit on 860euros that they do not deserve or we owe. Due to the Covid international travel conditions, we will not be able to stay at the hotel, therefore requesting a full refund. No reply. Nada. Horrid milking of customer money. Absolutely the worst experience. Cannot recommend this hotel. Please share. Don't waste your money on this hotel.

My husband and I have been saving for years to go to Italy and had no choice but to cancel our trip due to the flight suspensions and lockdowns with COVID-19. All the other hotels we booked were very accommodating and either gave us a credit to travel next year or our money back. Hotel Locanda De La Spada has been extremely difficult to deal with. They will not let us cancel or refund. How could you keep someone’s money when I have no choice but to cancel! I guaranteed them I would travel back in the next year and they could keep my money. They are extremely rude and completely not understanding of the money and time it goes into planning a trip like this. It is not my choice to cancel. I have tried everything! We booked through hotels.com and they will not even email me back! I will never use hotels.com to book again! When we are able to travel to Venice I will not be staying at this hotel! Extremely poor customer service!
