Residenza Laguna

This property should not rent any rooms out. Never mind in Venice. We visited Italy for three weeks and this property should be closed. They give false information to Booking.com Q: Will you pay 160 euro a night for this? See photos of kitchen, toaster on chair, aircon that manager set but didnt work and you may not touch it and after 9 and no food yet. I have to open for the lady that cleaned and make breakfast. You cant phone them because everything is in Italian and nobody were there for checkin. Outside minus 4 and the warmest place in our room were the bathroom. I didnt shower due to coldness of water. I have reason to be unhappy. The previous night (30 December) I payed 105 euro at an ABNB for a newly renovated place, close to San Marco with Espresso machine and coffee.

I am writing to complain the female staff of Residenza Laguna at Venice. (check in 9 July – check out on 10 July 2019) On 9th July 2019, at around 21:25. I arrived Venice train station. The instructions from the hotel told me that it take 25 minutes to get there. 'But the truth is over 30mins and the instructions to take the transportation was too simple that it didn't match the real situation. When I arrived the hotel at 22:03 a female staff asked me to pay €30euro extra charge. She said it is for the arrival after 22:00. What a ridiculous policy? 3 minutes charged €30euro? my room charge is just €115. I want to complain the hotel policy and the disrespect attitude of that staff. I request a sincere apology and compensation from the hotel. Because the staff didn't give us the room key until 1am after midnight. She waste my valuable journey time. I request a email response to me in 14days. Otherwise, I will take further action.

Room is in excellent location for experiencing Rialto and San Marco areas of Venice at night. Also very convenient to walking anywhere on the island. Breakfast was adequate, much like normal European breakfasts. Staff was very polite and helpful. A/C did not work. They had brought in a portable unit but it was cooler just opening windows all the way. Room and facility was clean. Know you must climb narrow, steep steps to get to rooms. Also, must buzz in at door and wait for manager to travel from elsewhere in city if counter is not manned when you arrive. Waited about 15-20 minutes.
