Montresor Hotel Tower

Large hotel with 13 floors and 144 rooms. Friendly receptionist upon check-in. We had room 2308 on the 12th floor. There are only 2 elevators. For a 13-story building, this is naturally far from enough. The room is nicely spacious. The air conditioning works fine. And the wifi is excellent. I could bring in my newspaper in a curse and a sigh in the morning. In the bathroom, the shower is in the bath. The bathtub is mounted quite high. So it's quite a journey to climb in and out of. It is also slippery in the bathtub. For the elderly, it will be a challenge to do a spool without bone fractures. To prevent water damage, a screen has been installed and also a curtain. Not really useful at all. The water pressure was fine, by the way. The breakfast was fine. There is enough choice from sweet and savory. There are more than enough free parking spaces around the hotel. Check-out is possible until 10:30 AM at the latest. This is of course not possible for a 4-star hotel. We weren't planning that either. The reception indicated that we could check out quietly an hour later. We were able to book the room for a very good price: 30% discount on Black Friday. However, there is a downside. It seems that a part of the staff is using its own rules. A few examples. The bartender was 'searching'. Only after calling through the reception a few times did someone finally come (with an unhappy face). The ordered bottle of beer (there is no draft beer) was poured on the counter. I had to ask for a glass myself. In the breakfast room, they also walk around the edges. Only the young man with gray hair and a beard is quite active. The rest just wanders around a bit. Especially the tall skinny guy. He is especially agile in running around, chatting with other staff, and especially doing nothing. But... at a quarter to ten there is suddenly a lot of activity. And the diligent clearing of the buffet begins. Suddenly a whole brigade comes out of the kitchen. N.B. breakfast is until 10:00 am.

Easy to reach, excellent location. Spacious, comfortable, clean rooms and a quiet environment. Very well-stocked breakfast with well-selected products for all tastes, from sweet to savory. We had a really great time. Very friendly and helpful staff.

It was a gift for an anniversary. Magnificent surprise and experience. Extraordinary welcome from arrival at the airport until the subsequent return. As requested, everything was well organized and planned to perfection. We will definitely return, and with friends as well. Giuseppe CAROLI and Vita LADISLAO
