For the price, it was excellent. The check in and breakfast personnel service were excellent, as was the cleanliness and updated nature of everything. The breakfast food was really surprisingly good… fresh scrambled eggs, many hearty dishes, excellent coffee/espresso machine. Of course the rooms are small for large people, but tolerably so.

This hotel is about a three-minute walk from Hachinohe Station. (There is a convenience store in front of the station and an izakaya nearby.) You enter the room with a card key, with a gown and shave, after chiquinning with a self-tiering machine. The rooms were simple and clutter-free, the beds were wide, and the network was wi-hi free and stress-free. Breakfast was free and there was a decent variety of delicious food. Return the card to the check-out tick-in machine and that's it. The service and value for money were all high.

I stayed for one night in a compact but well-designed twin room with a small desk, tv, fridge and bedside table. The bed was comfortable and the wifi was good. I had quite a nice view across a car park to buildings, bridges, mountains and forest, although the window glass safety grid made it impossible to get good pics of it. I very much liked the quality black-and-white photos of Hachinohe in frames above the beds. So much better than the computer-generated rubbish on the walls of some hotels! The bathroom was very small, but had a good deep bath. I was pleased to see there was a recycling bin for bottles, cans and plastics which isn't that case in many Japanese hotels. The staff were pleasant, and the breakfast buffet was decent. The hotel is conveniently located close to Hachinohe Station. There are also shops and eateries around. A nearby shopping centre had great displays from the Hachinohe Sansha Taisai Festival, and a shop selling Tōhoku gifts, souvenirs and foodstuffs. Among other things, I bought some Dracula icecream! (It was excellent.) Overall, a practical and good value choice.
