Awara Onsen Seifusou

The open ticklins of the Viking, the hotel's selling point, were very satisfying both morning and evening. I was able to eat a variety of locally produced foods for local consumption, and it was good to see that it was different from the usual hotel buffets. I was also very impressed by the way the chef was working so hard to liven things up. Please keep trying(^^) Although the hotel itself is old, the main parts such as the guest rooms, baths and dining area were basically renovated, so it was good to have a new and clean feeling, I don't worry about aging.

Sorry for the late post. We visited in January 2023. We stayed in the Japanese-Western room "Roshian" with a half open-air bath with my wife, daughter and husband, and four other adults, including my 5-month-old grandson. We chose the Juso-no-Kaze Kaiseki meal. The room was clean, and since we had contacted them to say we were traveling with a baby, diaper cases and wet tissues were provided, so we had a comfortable stay. It was also nice that there were two washrooms. The large public bath and the open-air bath in the room were both comfortable. The food was delicious and very elaborate, which impressed me. Considering the room and the food, I think it was as good as a star-rated resort, so I think it was good value for money.

My family and I enjoyed a stay at "one of the largest inns with open-air garden baths in the Hokuriku region." The baths are well-constructed, including the large Silk Bath and the "Komorehi no Yu" bath, which changes depending on the day of the week! I love hot springs, so I wonder if the quality of the springs is even better? The room was a Honjin Japanese-Western room (two beds, a sofa, and an 8-tatami Japanese-style room) for four adults and a baby. We had the open kitchen buffet plan for breakfast and the Miyabi Kaiseki Standard Plan for dinner in a private room, and were very satisfied, as it had been a long time since we'd had such a good time. The elaborate dishes were delicious! Falling in love with the proprietress - the sake lees and cheese bavarois was a unique taste during our meal, and we bought some as a souvenir.
