A very standard APA at the train station, I could not hear the trains. The rooms were the same size as other APA ( tiny tiny tiny) but thats what you expect. The TV in the room was enormous, almost bigger than the bed..... Breakfast was ok, and the server there was really polite and friendly, making some suggestions on what to have.

Right next to the train station, you can see the bullet train from your window (and hear it), the trains do not run late at night and we had no problem sleeping. Rooms were an adequate size and clean, you can change the rock hard pillows with reception for a western style. Complementary breakfast. Easy walk to the convenience store in the train station or 8 min walk along the main road to the supermarket and Macdonald's.

Here's the thing .. sometimes you just need a place to crash and dump your bags en route somewhere and this place is exactly that. It's less than a 1 minute walk from the station. I booked here to take part in a sword making day trip, and didn't want to travel to and fromTokyo on the day of. So this was perfect. My room is: -clean -small (but no different than many Japanese hotels I've seen) -cheap You get what you'd expect but without the grime. I'm not going to compare this to a hotel that's $150+ a night. That's not what this is. That staff are friendly, my room is clean, free internet, it's insanely close the station and the bed is fine with some included welcome origami... so.. 5 good things... 5 stars.
