We had dinner in the evening and both were of satisfactory quality. Personally, the ayu salt grilled for dinner and the ayu porridge and takisoba for breakfast were delicious. Regarding hygiene, the room on the mountain side seems to have a lot of beetles, so I did. I had my room changed and when I came by the river, I didn't answer. The public bath was large and the open-air bath was pleasant to see Gifu Castle and Nagara River, but I was concerned that there was quite a lot of black mold on the ceiling and shower hose.

Founded over 120 years ago. It is said that Yasunari Kawabata also visited the ryokan, the forerunner of the ryokan. I stayed at the Castle View Suite with Terrace for Nagaragawa Ukai Boat Ride. As the name of the room suggests, the keep of Gifu-jo Castle can be seen from the window, although it is small. There are more than 20 tatami mat rooms, and a small partition separates the living room from the bedroom. It was originally two bays, but the walls must have been removed to make it one. The floor is Ryukyu tatami. Large TVs are installed on both the living and bed sides. The hot spring bath is located on the top floor and has an open-air bath. Hot springs are heated and water is added. You can see the Nagara River and Mount Kinka, but at night it is completely dark and you can barely see anything, so if you want to enjoy the view from the bath, do so while the sun is up. Dinner is usually like a room meal, but if you are on the Nagaragawa Ukai boarding plan, it is served at the restaurant "Tsuraji" on the first floor. The Ukai boarding area is only a few minutes' walk away, making it a very convenient hotel for ukai tours.

Located just 20 minutes by car from downtown Gifu, this scenic hotel is located in a prime location along the Nagara River, among the many historic hotels. The Japanese-style rooms are spacious, and you can see the Nagara River and the cormorant fishing boats below. The best part is the open-air bath overlooking Gifu Castle. However, the bath on the mountain side is only open to men and women, and is alternated daily. The well-used facilities and furnishings have been carefully restored and cleaned to create a comfortable space. The front desk staff are surprisingly responsive. If I visit the Mino region, I'd definitely come back...
