I recommend staying at a ryokan at least once in a lifetime and this in particular we enjoyed it. The shoes are left at the entrance and the guest is given supplied with slippers. In particular, my daughter was given very nice Pikachu slippers. Large triple, with an attached sitting area. Being a ryokan the mattress is placed on the ground, quite clean. Maybe just the bathroom a little dated. The ryokan is located on the edge of the old town, it reaches in a few minutes on foot and also the train station can be easily reached on foot in a few minutes.

A magical place... seems to have stopped time so that you can relive it!!! cozy intimate does not lack anything .. in the morning a basic breakfast kit ... if not there you want to order, onsen available .. clean ... and then the courtesy and kindness of the owners 😍 .... do not miss it!!!!

Don't worry dear readers. The title might have made you think that this was some sort of raunchy novel. It isn't, I'm afraid, but it does pretty much describe this place. Faded glory with a few bumps around the edges. Tired would be a good word. But this old style Japanese Inn has bags of charm, secrets around every corner and is something you just got to do once on your trip to this fascinating country. Our ensuite room had bags of charm some nice touches from the host in terms of soup and bread plus a super bathroom which is unlike anything I have ever seen, this side of Tibet. Highlight was the communal bath. Sadly not for both sexes, but each offering a cross between a Swedish sauna and a hot and sweaty Turkish steamer. Yes a great place. Look beyond the scratches and unearth a little piece of history.
