Moriaki Ryokan

The whole town of Ikaho Onsen is a steep slope, Moriaki Ryokan is located very close to the stone steps street, just below the stone steps street.
The room I stayed in was room 601, which was a spacious structure with a wide veranda and an alcove in 10 tatami mats (upgraded to an 8-tatami plan). The rooms on the 6th floor had a small garden on the veranda that was set up for filming, fresh flowers were planted, and it was a very beautiful room. The hot spring is a cloudy reddish-brown hot water rich in iron, so-called "Golden Hot Water". The water is freshly poured from the source, and it warms slowly from the core of the body. In addition to the public bath and open-air bath, there is a private bath called Miharashi no Yu (3,850 yen for 50 minutes). The private bath was well-built with indirect lighting, but it was disappointing that it was not well-cleaned, with no hairbrush, trash from previous customers, and emulsion splashes in the sink.
There was also a room with a ping pong table, and other things, but it was nice to have the whole family feel at ease. (550 yen per hour) Dinner was a kaiseki dish at the dining venue, but compared to other inns, the number of dishes was small, and although there was a lot of regional cuisine, it was difficult to tell what was the main dish, so I felt somewhat unsatisfied.
Breakfast was buffet style and there were not many kinds, but it was a pleasant time to have a good view from the venue and enjoy the view while eating. However, the food itself was not particularly memorable and I was not satisfied with it. It felt a little expensive overall considering the price, but the fact that the staff were very responsive was a relief.

Visited here as part of a business trip. It is a short walk from the stone steps. It is very nice! Service was good. We ate the special traditional Japanese meal and that was exceptional. Room was clean, functional and spacious. Includes traditional Japanese wear. The spa was good - but no swimwear allowed (like other Japanese hot springs). Would stay here again!

It is located close to the stone steps street, and you can climb a little from the bus stop. It's an old inn with old photos. The view of the mountains from the open-air bath, which flows directly from the source, was good. We also had breakfast while looking at the mountain view from the window. Mountain lovers are happy to see the picture and name of the mountains written on the chopstick bag!
