Had a great one night stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Given coffee on arrival and helped us plan our trek up to Mt Misen. We had a room in the Annex and it very comfortable and huge. A nice touch was the bag with tooth brush, hair brush, socks, etc. There was a free drinks area to help ourself. Just note that everything closes down between 5 and 6pm in the village. The Kikunoya hotel is in a good location. Just a short walk to the rope cable car and a few minutes down the hill to the Tori gate. When we came off the ferry we asked the girl at tourist information to call the Kikunoya and they sent the car to pick us up in 5 minutes 😀. Also dropped us back to the ferry terminal.

We loved this hotel. We took a second floor annex room for 3 nights and honestly it was one of the best hotel rooms I have experienced. It even has its own onsen. We didn't eat at the hotel, there are so many lovely restaurants in the town. The hotel has a shuttle to and from the ferry since it is located on the other side of the town, but really the town is not very big and everything is within walking distance of the hotel. One mention, the hotel is not cheap but it was a lovely treat and the end of a most wonderful Japan trip.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The hotel is very nice and clean and is located on top of a hill. It is very well located with a nice view of the sea. We got a large nice room with a beautiful view of the torii gate. We chose a Japanese room because we wanted a Japanese experience. The room was neat and clean, but I wish the bathroom was a little bigger (a little small space around the sink for toiletries). The staff was nice and picked us up at the ferry, they also drove us back to the ferry dock after check-out. There is a path behind the hotel, recommend a walk around the area. We had ordered a kinsai dinner with delicious wagyu beef, but unfortunately only got fish dishes. The food was beautifully presented and looked delicious, but unfortunately I am not that fond of seafood so we were perhaps a bit picky eaters. I think those who like seafood, fish, shrimp and snails will be very satisfied! We will be happy to return to the hotel and definitely recommend it!
