By our fourth stop in Hiroshima, Japan, Tokyo Inn had proven itself to be the budget hotel chain that we would book for future return trips. The Hiroshima Ekimae Ohashi Minami has a very polite staff who were helpful in helping us navigate the railway and bus systems. We visited the major historical sites (A-Bomb Dome/Art Museum and Hiroshima Castle); however, we spent a lot of our time shopping. We were able to travel to a number of shopping malls, including Pacela, The Outlets, YouMe Town Hiroshima, and Ekie.

Excellent location because it is 400 meters from the train station, and if you are carrying large suitcases for 1 or 2 nights, the entrance/exit of the hotel/station is very important for us. The room was one of the smallest on our trip to Japan, although it had a good shower and a bed with an acceptable mattress. Buffet breakfast is included. Excellent service and cleanliness as is characteristic of that country.

5 minutes walk from the south exit of Hiroshima Station. You can eat and shop at the station. There is also a convenience store nearby. The hotel has an eco-conscious concept, and you can bring your own amenities from the front desk. The room is simple and has everything you need. There are no documents (files) with information that are common in hotels. I stayed for multiple nights, and I had to declare it for cleaning, and there was only a new towel hanging on the door handle. It would have been nice if this information had been displayed in the room. The free breakfast is served in the lobby. There are about 10 items to choose from. There are not enough seats, but takeaway containers are provided, and many guests used them.
