Abashiri Central

I went on a business trip to Abashiri City and used it. We arrived around 6 p.m. by rental car, but the hotel parking lot was already 80 to 90 percent full. Maybe it was because it was the weekend of the tourist season. If you are coming by Memanbetsu Airport or intercity bus, the Abashiri bus terminal is in front of the hotel. Also, the west side of the hotel is a 7-Eleven, which is convenient to buy. 　 　It looks like a historic hotel in Abashiri City, it feels old, but the lobby and other constructions feel luxurious. There is also a chapel attached. The front desk staff looked experienced and were very courteous and convenient to check in. 　The room was assigned a large twin room on the 5th floor. The view from the room overlooks the Abashiri River. Bath toilets feel small in the old business hotel building. The bedside switches are also old. Perhaps because there is a hotel with a large public bath across the street, there are bath salts in the amenities. 　The vending machine room is located on the 3rd floor and you can purchase alcoholic beverages as well as soft drinks. There was also an ice machine, washing machine and dryer, microwave (there was also a vending machine next to the front desk on the ground floor). 　There is a restaurant on the 1st floor, but it was open only during the day (11:00 to 15:00), possibly due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Perhaps instead, they offer a plan with a breakfast lunch box, as well as an appointment until 21:00 the day before. This time I used a plan with lunch box. I picked them up at the front desk at 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30 in the morning and picked them up in my room. It tasted good, there was quantity and it was very satisfying.

We stayed here overnight. The room size was adequate, we had a nice view from the 4th floor. The bed was firm and the pillow was awful made of something I have never experienced. The room was hot and the heating was controlled centrally by the Hotel. The restaurant was closed for both dinner and breakfast. You can get ice and use a microwave on level 3 laundry. The room has a coffee machine but no milk. Staff were very polite and everything is very clean. Location is not too far from the Port.

I have been using this hotel for business for a while now. I don't need to take a taxi when I get home late, and I'm glad there's a convenience store next to the hotel. However, I miss the fact that the hotel restaurant is gone.
