Toyako Manseikaku Hotel Lakeside Terrace

The hotel is ancient! Apparently it was built in the 1940s but it has been well maintained. The room was large and there were plenty of spaces for the four of us travelling. The onsen was nice. The buffet dinner was very good and breakfast was decent. The staff were great, the coffee area is like co-sharing office. I loved it!

I used it during the three-day trip, so I will post it. 　I was assigned a room on the seventh floor of the East Wing. First of all, the entrance door and bathroom door of the room are tilted and caught before closing, and the specification does not close without force. We should have chosen the room a bit more carefully, but it was a disappointing room for the price, with only a small TV in a tatami room, reminiscent of a cheap inn. There are many steps. The arrangement of outlets is snorted and there are four outlets in a group, making it difficult to use. The tatami is hard, the futon is hard, and it is not comfortable to sleep. I could see Lake Toya from my window, but the veranda was dirty. 　Maybe the gulls come up to the veranda because someone is feeding them? There are hygiene problems. By the way, there was dung damage to the parked car. 　Speaking of cars, except for a few, the parking lot is sloping, difficult to park, and the visibility is poor. 　Front desk staff, please explain carefully at check-in. It was nice to learn on the first day that the two public baths were divided into men and women (switching between night and morning), but on the second day of consecutive nights, I was not told that the pattern would be the opposite of the previous day. Thanks to this, I went back and forth between the public baths in the basement of the central building and the 8th floor of the west building for nothing. In both baths, the changing area is open in an open basket and there are no lockers. There is only a small valuables compartment. 　Breakfast croissants are too hard to bite off. I've never experienced bread with such a bad texture. The rice kettle is fixed a little away from the customer's scaffolding, making it difficult to scoop. I take my own dishes to the lower table when I'm done eating them, but the table fills up so quickly that I can't keep up. Staff sometimes walked by as if nothing had happened, with customers standing beside them in distress in front of the lower platform. 　The welcome drink is only water and tea, which is self-service. This is a disappointing quality when you are experiencing a hotel with free coffee, tea, sweets and in some places alcohol. 　I booked it for quite a bit of money, but there was nothing I could appreciate at all, and I was left with nothing but frustration.

I used it with an overnight breakfast plan. It's just huge. Breakfast is mainly in the live kitchen & there are endless items in Japanese, Western and Chinese. I don't know what to get or how to get it...I'm so lost. They were all delicious, but the onigiri they casually made on the spot, and the spicy vegetable curry with all the ingredients, were delicious. I'm always thinking ... let's have an eight, but I guess it's basic poverty. I just ate too much and it was hard ^^; The gender-swapped baths here are also attractive (especially on the 8th floor). It takes a little time to get around the hotel, but it seems like you should bring it to enjoy hotel life. (I guess that's the case in Hokkaido in general... this is a very high inbound rate)
