Bourou Noguchi Hakodate

This an aging hotel that requires renovation. Upon entering my room, I had to walk down a staircase to get to the bedroom. The room was big and clean, but there were signs everywhere that it was getting old. Especially the private onsen area appears to be quite aged. The dim light in the lift lobby caused me discomfort. The breakfast and dinner dishes were just average in taste. The first night service staffs were quite poor in English. The second night, however, was slightly better.

I came here when I was traveling in Hokkaido. At the inn of Noguchi Kanko Group, I was indebted several times to the inn in Hakone, and I had stayed at Noboribetsu Lookout Tower, and I was looking forward to seeing both of them again with the impression that the hot springs and food in their rooms were good. From JR Hakodate Station, take a 30-minute ride, rocking a tram, and get off at 'Yunokawa Onsen Station,' which is a few minutes walk. The building is more modern than Japanese, with a bar and pool table in the lobby on the first floor. We had dumplings of welkamusu sweets and tea. The room is a maisonette type suite, and when you go up to the second floor from the entrance, the left half has a sofa, TV, etc., the right half has twin beds and TV, and a washroom and a large observation bath. You can relax and it is recommended for couples and couples. However, it is getting dilapidated and steam is leaking from the bath into the washroom. Apart from the rooms, the large public bath and lounge on the top floor are wonderful. The public baths are comfortable with large tubs and open-air baths, and the lounges have impressive views from the neighboring Hakodate Racecourse and Yunokawa Onsen to the sea. At dusk we could relax in that lounge with beautiful views and free beer. In the early morning, I watched the racehorses at Hakodate Racecourse being trained (I was surprised by the number of racehorses). Another feature of this inn is that you can enjoy taking off and arriving at Hakodate Airport. I watched for a while because I could see the view from my room as the plane took off from the airport and passed right over me. We ate dinner and breakfast deliciously. The staff at the time of the meal were also full of hospitality and had it in a large private room. In both cases, the Hokkaido version was arranged in Japanese and Western style, and we could enjoy it with sake at dinner. I enjoyed wine, but I would be happy if there was a little more wine variety. Breakfast looks a little quiet. I think it is a good quality hotel where you can enjoy Yunokawa Onsen, food and various things.

I once stayed at a lookout tower in Noboribetsu and everything from service to food was good, so I chose a lookout tower in Hakodate this time, but the difference is too great even though it is the same management. First we get to the hotel, the car is self-driving to the parking lot, no way! I have dinner outside, so I asked the hotel for a taxi Reservation and they told me there was an event today and I couldn't get a taxi, so I don't have a car to pick up the hotel guests, I don't have a taxi company contract. No way. Lounge empty of drinks, no attendants, no way! Room Observation Staying in a hot spring room, the whole room is stale, the bedroom is too hot to sleep because of the air conditioning, so it's time to rehome. I only eat breakfast, but it came out first for coffee and dessert after breakfast, huh? No way. The quantity isn't great, the taste isn't good, the green vegetables are yellow? No way. The scallops are also full of sand. Same lookout tower, but different place, maybe all different ❓❓ It will never stop again!
