Holiday Inn ANA Sapporo Susukino

Lovely staff, convenient location (very central but not noisy), lovely big buffet breakfast, fantastic amenities including gym, I couldn’t use the onsen as I have tattoos but I know it exists. The room was very comfortable also

Basically in the middle of a very vibrant area with lots of nightlife and it’s beside ‘Ramen alley’ which has some amazing miso ramen options. The room I had was quite small but absolutely sufficient for a couple of nights. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close for transport connections too. I would stay here again.

My stay here was really pleasant and welcoming. Location and price was great. Susukino has a very lively night scene with the Round 1 game center, karaoke centers, food court/malls like cocono susukino, some interesting bars and drinking. I felt safe venturing around late at night. Odori Park and Sapporo Station is still very walkable from this hotel. I do prefer Susukino for the food options and how close shopping was. Airport bus pickup and drop off spots were close to this hotel, about a 10 minute walk with luggage in snow. Room was pretty clean and a bit more spacious than what I’m used to in other hotels in Japan. Hotel had a good layout with standard good representation of the IHG brand. Housekeeping was good and kept to room comfy. Heat and water was also good with the winter weather. All the staff were very helpful and approachable. I really appreciate how everyone there was genuinely kind, from front desk to housekeeping. They answered my questions well and met my requests for little extra things like an extra luggage rack and how to properly dispose of broken luggage with them (500¥ per piece and easy). I ended up trying their breakfast buffet which did a good job with having a good number of items unique to Hokkaido/Japan. The hospitality of this hotel made me not regret signing up as an IHG member. I will consider this hotel again if I visit Sapporo another time.
