This was a last minute booking due to work & the hotels in Tomakomai were full due to a festival. I was pleasantly surprised, after walking up two flights of stairs (the elevators are at rear off the car park). Again unable to get a room until 15:00 hrs. So the question was asked & the staff member guided us to a little bar\cafe at rear, which was a little gem. The room is small, but adequate for a one or two night stay. A small bathroom, which seems to be the go in this area. There are lots of local restaurants surrounding this hotel. I will definitely stay here again.

I came here for a women's hockey tournament n i needed a room for 7 days. Most hotels were already booked so i chose the Smile Hotel mainly because some rooms were left n also the reviews were good It's for the budget conscious traveler. Breakfast is included n is good with a decent choice. It's clean n quiet. Room service comes in every morning to change the sheets n towels.The staff is very helpful n courteous. It's safe as i'm a woman traveling alone. I would recommend it n i would come back anytime. SL
