Just 300m (although an uphill walk) from Arimaonsen Station and around the corner from Arima Onsen bus terminal, its location is ideal for those who aren't driving. Despite the ordinary hotel looking exterior and lobby, the service is top-notched and the non-smoking standard Japanese tatami room with river view located at the main building was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The indoor public baths were thoroughly enjoyable. The temperature in late Jan was a little too cold for me to use the outdoor one which was also a little too small for comfort to share with others. The least enjoyable part of our stay was meal times. Dining among other guests of many tables in the banquet hall where our breakfast and dinner were served felt like a typical restaurant experience. I was unlucky enough that the table behind me was a big family with young children crawling and playing around, banging my back and making a lot of noise. Apart from that, the dinner was impressive for the price. The breakfast was a little underwhelming though. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you could opt for in-room dining.

The response from the inn was good. The hot springs and the food were good. It's just that the parking attendants are the worst. I just got an up car, so I told him I wanted him to step back a little bit to lower the car, and the up car moved forward in anger. I was very uncomfortable being yelled at by the attendant and the driver of the car going up. I don’t think it was all of them, as there were kind car park attendants, but it was a bad memory at the end of the trip. I won't go there again.

We have booked luxury Japanese room with private open-air hot spring bath for a day. The room is very nice, you can experience how comfortable of the traditional Japanese style tatami. Also, the dinner and breakfast are delicious, you can choose 3-4 time slot to enjoy room service from Arima Onsen. The most important is we can enjoy our private open air hot spring bath anytime, it was awesome you can relax and breath fresh air from a small garden. A small accident happened during we leave Arima Onsen, we found we lost our scarf and wristband when we back Osaka already. Arima Onsen helped us to keep our stuffs and sent back it to our countries, we are so thankful for their kind assistance.
