Hotel Koushuen

It feels like a good old, well-established hotel. The building was renovated in 2020, so the interior is very clean. However, the air conditioning is not working in the elevator or in the corridors on each floor. I stayed there in August, so it was hell to come back from outside and walk from the elevator to my room. Once I got to my room, I opened the door and had a view of the ocean, and the air conditioning worked perfectly, so it was comfortable. What impressed me was the large hot spring and the delicious croissants baked in the breakfast area, and as mentioned above, the view from the room was amazing.

We stayed only one night in this hotel. The things we liked are: large tatami style rooms good value good breakfast selection nice onset with view to the sea free shuttle to the Wajima morning market On the other hand, the place not new and would require some renovations.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the meals were just fantastic with fresh seafood, the onsen was relaxing with a super outdoor tub facing the sea and wew were treated to an entertaining and energetic masked drum performance in the basement theatre. Well located just east of the town centre with a handy bus shuttle to the morning market. Very happy with our stay.
