I heard that it was all-inclusive and had a good reputation through word of mouth and social media, so I visited it for the first time. The building was completed in 1987, having previously stayed at the hotel several times during the time of the Miyagi Zao Royal Hotel. It was a fairly old hotel, but it was renovated here and there, giving the impression that it was something like this. However, as it is affiliated with the Yamato Resort, the staff were very accommodating and above all, the food was very good. This time, I was planning to eat soba the next day, so I looked for a plan without dinner, but there was no plan for dinner only, so I had to make a reservation without meals. ■Arrival When I arrived, the look was little different from before. Only the signs seem to be renewed. I imagined a stylish atmosphere on the official website, so there was a bit of a gap. Many of you may be surprised. Once you enter the building, the interior is not much different from before. The high-end, old carpets are noticeable for their large stains. Check-in was normal, but amenities were "please feel free" style from the side of the front desk. I was surprised at the way it was treated like a business hotel. When I heard the word "all-inclusive", I had the image of a luxury hotel, so I was a little confused. I was told that there was a one-size-fits-all yukata in the room, the different sizes were from there, but the ones lined up were for SS and children. Eventually, I head to my room with a toothbrush and shave. ■Guest rooms The room is a "classic twin." As the name suggests, the original interior is still intact. I won't complain, as the site clearly states, but I'm full of nostalgia: stains on the floor, peeling walls and ceilings, retro furniture, a 'World's Kameyama Model' TV, a fridge without shelves, a feeble hair dryer, and a three-point unit bath (the cream-colored equipment from the example). I think it's been cleaned well, but there was a unique smell that went beyond that (sad). When I changed into my yukata, it was still slick. I called the front desk and they said, "I have LL. Please come to the front desk to pick it up." I feel like they delivered it before. I went out of my way to change and get it (bitter). ■All-Inclusive Lounge Change your mind and let's get to all-inclusive. Expect MAX with information that there will also be beer and champagne! The venue was at the back of the ground floor, but there was gray hair all over it. Nice to meet you, Hemingway, at the Sea of Old Men. The seats were almost full, and a few seats off. I looked for beer and found a paper cup! I was shocked this time because at the all-inclusive I went to before, I could relax in a calm lounge with a glass. Drinking beer in a paper cup is like hanami. The atmosphere and taste are different. Even more surprising was the audience. Probably 80% of the elderly and 18% of foreigners (especially Chinese) are family members and young female groups. There were also foreign visitors (one row!) who took home a large amount of tea bags, and the staff seemed used to replenishing them. It was a strange sight to see them take home a pile of snacks in paper cups. ■ Public bath Pull yourself together and go to the bath. The tavern that used to be next to the public bath was gone. It was a little disappointing because it was a place with memories. The public baths themselves have hardly changed. Please note that the water is slightly lukewarm and the shower will become water with a certain frequency. There was no TV in the sauna, bath towels were laid out instead of rug towels, and I was sloshing. However, the hot springs themselves are very pleasant and I recommend them. Recently, there have been reports of bear sightings, so I refrained from open-air baths. ■Dinner party hall It wasn't a dinner plan, but I went to see what the atmosphere was like. Many of them couldn't make it into the buffet hall, so they ate with tables in the hallway in front. Eating in the dark and poorly lit corridors. I feel sorry for you. They were all eating like trinkets. The buffet venue is more than 50 meters away, so the elderly are probably too far away to pick it up. I was eating on two plates ... The seats in the hallway were mostly young. I assume that the elderly probably come early (around 17:30) and there are not enough seats because the younger ones come later. To be honest, I thought it would be good if the people in the hallway could get the buffet free. ■All Inclusive at Night Again Have a light meal in your room and go all-inclusive again. I've gotten used to paper cups, and now I can enjoy them too. The hotel's original spiced liqueur was also unique and good. However, the customer base was rough and arguments broke out between the elderly. We only had one staff member and it seemed difficult to deal with, but we settled down in about three minutes. Next morning The next morning, I overslept and couldn't take a bath in the morning. I wanted to have a coffee and searched the lobby, but I couldn't find it anywhere. When I asked him at the front desk, he said, "No coffee." I can't believe it's all-inclusive and I can't drink coffee...that's too bad. I had no choice but to leave the hotel and buy coffee at 7-Eleven. ■Review I wrote a lot of things, but I think I should have just assumed that it would have been a beautiful renewal. If you use it after understanding the age of the building and the clientele, it is a good enough hotel if the tour price is about 10,000 yen. If the previous cooks remain, the food will definitely be delicious, so I'll try staying with dinner this time, but I'm a little worried about securing a seat.
