The reasonable price and friendly staff response were impressive. Even if you check in late at night, you can still enjoy Sendai's specialties because of the close distance to the arcade district (Nagake-cho). I was able to sleep slowly in a clean room. Rail enthusiasts would recommend a room with a view of both the Shinkansen bullet train and the regular railway to and from Sendai Station. The morning buffet was full of beef tongue curry and zunda mochi 🥰, and this year was our 30th anniversary, and we also had delicious lemon-flavored cookies. Conveniently located near Sendai Station.

Our first impression of the hotel was that the staff were rude. It was very unlike our experience at many other hotels across Japan. The staff shamelessly ignored us for a while without any greeting before they could bother with checking us in. When they did check us in they were extremely unhelpful and left us partway through the check in process without any explanation. It has given a terrible impression of the JAL brand and I would think hard about spending a night at another JAL hotel. The hotel room was nice enough and was clean with fair amenities. A very good central location which is very close to the train station.

The hotel was ok, but the check in experience was very bad. Starting with their English skills that are very basic, and made communication difficult. Second, we came from a super long an delayed flight from miami, and because of the delays we lost the opportunity to check in early, we checked in 3 hours before checkout 11 am, asked for late check out, and explained this situation to them and they refused late checkout. We only asked for one more hour to rest, but they didn’t care or didn’t understand. So please be careful staff at this hotel have zero empathy, don’t come
